What this is

slopstop is a Chrome extension that scores social media posts for likely AI-generation using heuristic pattern matching and an optional AI-detector model. It is provided as-is, with no warranty.

Limits of detection

AI detection is inherently imperfect. Scores are estimates, not verdicts. False positives and false negatives are expected. Do not use this extension to make accusations, hiring decisions, or any consequential judgments about specific individuals.

Acceptable use

Use the extension only for lawful, personal purposes. Do not use it to harass others.

Open source

slopstop is open source under the MIT License. You may build, modify, and self-host it from the source repo. These terms apply to the hosted service we operate; self-hosted builds are governed by the license, not this document.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any damages arising from use of this extension. Use at your own risk.

Changes

These terms may change. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
